The lathe machines have a variety of special tools that generate certain custom results. These lathe tools include accessories that help hold the workpiece into place and include a faceplate, a three-four jaw chuck, a collet, a spur drive, a lathe dog and more. Each lathe tool has a specific function. For example the collet may be used to mount pieces that are square or hexagonal.
